About the project
The Comfy is the oversized wearable blanket brand founded by two brothers who flew to a Denver open call in May 2017 with nothing but a dream and a prototype — and ended up pitching Mark, Lori, Kevin, Barbara, and Robert on national television. The Sharks tried them on. The segment aired. The rest became one of the most successful products in Shark Tank history. By the time they came to us, they were scaling across US, UK and AU markets and needed Shopify Plus to keep up.
The challenge
Running separate Shopify stores for each region with duplicated content and fragmented inventory management. International customers were encountering clunky currency switching and checkout trust issues. Post-Shark Tank growth had outpaced the original store setup entirely.
What we built
Consolidated onto a single Shopify Plus store using Shopify Markets. Built geo-detection logic with localised currency, language, and checkout UI per market. Unified inventory management across regions. Custom checkout extensions for international trust signals and social proof tied to the Shark Tank story.
