Questions about this service

Will we lose our Google rankings?

Not if we do the 301 redirects correctly. Every old URL needs to point to its new Shopify equivalent. We map these before cutover and implement them in Shopify's URL redirects.

How do you migrate customer passwords?

Passwords can't be migrated — they're hashed on the old platform. Customers receive a password reset email automatically on first login to your Shopify store.

How long does the actual cutover take?

DNS propagation takes 24-48 hours. The Shopify store is ready and QA'd before we touch DNS — so there's no live downtime window.
