The real story of how a Shopify agency started in Jaipur and grew worldwide.
In 2020, Anil Jangid lost his job. He was working at Ernst & Young's Spotmentor division when COVID shut everything down. Instead of waiting for the market to recover, he opened a laptop and started taking on Shopify projects directly.
The first few months were slow. Then they weren't. One good project led to another. Referrals started coming in. He got better at understanding what store owners actually needed — not just what they asked for.
By 2023, he'd served over 1,000 clients and built long-term partnerships with 50+ brands. He'd worked across fashion, jewelry, sports, fitness, lifestyle, home décor, and IT — learning what separates a Shopify store that looks good from one that actually sells.
That year, he and his wife Monika made it official. Amoni — Anil + Monika — is based in Jaipur and serves clients in the US, UK, and globally. Anil runs product and development. Monika runs operations and client relationships, which is why things actually ship on time.
